Since the release of Unspeakable Things a novel, the author has spoken to and/or participated in author events in three states at major brick and mortar retailers, in libraries, with book clubs, with discussion and grief groups, for Rotary Clubs, for a Millsaps Political Science class. She has led workshops at the Fifth Mid-Winter Writer’s Conference, Pell City, Alabama; the Gulf Coast Writers Association, Gulfport, MS; Lorelei Books, Vicksburg, MS; the Magee, MS Library Week Event. She has signed her debut work of fiction at the Evelyn Gandy Lecture Series in NOLA and in Authors Alley at the Third Annual Mississippi Book Festival, Jackson, MS.

Jackie enjoys speaking with groups, large and small. She has been a classroom teacher and a corporate trainer; she has conducted a rural law practice and served as a Mississippi special assistant attorney general.

  1. Jackie, Truly enjoyed meeting you at Mendenhall last Wednesday, and really enjoyed the workshop at the Magee Library on Friday. Hope you made it to your grandson’s baseball game on time, and that he pitched a no-hitter! Isn’t it wonderful being a grandparent? Even with the books that I have in print, there were still about three pearls of wisdom that you dropped during our time on Friday that were informative and motivational for me. Thank you! John
